Last Friday I had to take my wife’s nephew and his friend down to Toad’s Place in New Haven for a concert. 36 Crazyfists, Trivium and All That Remains were playing. So as usual, I brought my camera along. But I left the wide angle lenses in the bag, and only walked in with the telephoto. No way I was venturing into the pit with my camera gear…heh…
Cutting to the chase – here’s the photos from the night in New Haven. The place was packed, so my angles were limited…but I’m pretty happy with what I ended up shooting.

Thanks for looking!
Tom
Tom some really nice stuff here
Some pretty good stage captures. What were your settings on these low-light indoor shots? How far down could you stop while zooming? Did you “push” yur film speed up a help you out?

Thanks John!
All were shot at ISO 1600, f/2.8 and varying shutter speeds (usually around 1/125s or so – camera was set in Av at f/2.8, so it was figuring out the shutter speed). And pretty much all are straight out of the camera – only thing I did was convert the RAW to JPEG, so there was no “push” processing done. If anything, I had to pull a couple of them down a touch (not more than half a stop).
