We have a ritual when we’re down here at my parent’s place in Florida – we make a morning trip to Einstein Bagels in Boca Raton, FL. This fine New Year’s Eve morning, we left the kids with my parents and went out in search of trains after the bagel stop. Well, I did the […]
Been down here in Florida for a few days now, but haven’t had a chance to head trackside. Tonight was the first time I was able to get out – and with the help of ATCS Monitor, I was able to catch a FEC freight in Boca Raton, FL. Only problem was my timing.
Another sunny, but cold morning today. Not quite as windy as it had been, but still pretty cold. And there’s still plenty of the white stuff on the ground to make things look all nice and pretty. So I had to get out this morning and see if I could get some shots in. Well, […]
After our little snowfall yesterday (about 17″ at home), and the sun & clear blue skies of this morning, I figured I needed to head out and catch something along the Thames River. As things worked out, I was able to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 at a new spot for me – someplace […]
OK, almost caught up. This is a quickie from last Thursday morning – another cold and blustery morning. This time, instead of the P&W, I caught the New England Central heading north through Montville.
Continuing to catch up here – this one is from last Wednesday morning, which was pretty windy & cold. I met up with Nick Palazini and David Telesha to shoot Providence & Worcester train NR-2 along the Thames River.
OK a bit behind once again – been busy around the work & home fronts – so I’ll be chipping away at some shoots from the past week or so. Here’s something a bit different from last Tuesday – a little Maintenance of Way on the Providence & Worcester Norwich Branch.
This morning I had a 9:30am Amtrak train to catch out of Newark, so I figured I had about 45 minutes to swing by Bound Brook, NJ after sunrise and still have enough time to return the rental car and get to the platform in time. In the span of that time, I was able […]
On my last night in NJ, I decided to head up to Whippany, NJ to check out the Whippany Railway Museum out and photograph some of their equipment. As things worked out, not only did I stop in Whippany, but I also swung through Morristown and checked out the Morristown & Erie shops, where I […]
I’m down in New Jersey for work this week taking a training class that unfortunately runs until after sunset. So I’ve had a few chances to play with the Lumedyne at night. So far I’ve been able to get out twice – once on the CSX Trenton Line in NJ and once on the Norfolk Southern Reading […]
