Down in New Jersey again for work this week, and after I got out of the office this afternoon – despite staying later than normal- I headed out to try to take advantage of some sweet sunshine during the golden hour. As it worked out, I caught a few trains as the sun was setting.
Found a few minutes in my schedule this morning to get out, so I decided to explore my new spot south of the USS Nautilus – this time with both the telephoto and wide angle rigs. Hopefully I could also time it with Providence & Worcester train NR-2’s arrival into the greater Groton area.
As some of you may know, a trio of New York, Susquehanna and Western SD70Ms that are being leased by RailAmerica were sent from the Florida East Coast Railway to the New England Central for some repairs. Well, as luck had it, CSX spotted the three on the east end of the West Springfield yard […]
As things worked out yesterday, I was able to get out and take advantage of the abundant sunshine that graced southeastern Connecticut in the morning. Another nice blue sky day today, one I had to take advantage of. So I headed out for my walk this morning, hoping to catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 in Ledyard. I did bag them, along with a couple things floating on the water – one with NR-2, and one when I went out […]
A little play on words – it’s the Western Good Friday today, and I had a good Friday with the camera, bagging two trains and a Virginia class submarine returning to the Sub Base, all under crystal clear blue skies.
Taking advantage of the beautiful weather on Thursday I headed out for a walk. I figured for something different I’d head to Stoddard Hill and try and catch Providence & Worcester train NR-2 heading south. Well, for once I didn’t catch NR-2, but I did catch a couple other things…
