And we continue on with the 2012 photo recap, with this post moving onto the second quarter of 2012. During this three month span the subjects ranged from the usual railroad photos, to submarines, a new bridge, a locomotive shop and a two-day photo charter. So does that mean I’ll pick more photos? Read on [...] I had to make another trip down to NJ last week for work – of course the cameras came along. Granted, it was a shorter trip – only three days as opposed to the usual full week, so time to get out and shoot was limited, but I did manage to shoot a little. And [...] Busy times lately – both at work and at home. But I figured it was time for a quick blog post to stir things up a bit and let you all know where things are. First off, you’ll see my work – both photos and writing – in a couple magazines’ March 2012 issues, one [...] Once again I had to make a work trip to New Jersey the week of September 12th, and I did manage to get a little shooting in while I was there – both day and night (yes, the Lumedynes came along for the ride as well). The first day, before checking into the hotel, I [...] And the final installment from my June trip to Joysey. This is another morning/evening look that happened on June 16th, but was at two of what I consider to be the “low hanging fruit” locations – Manville and Bound Brook, NJ. But since it was a Thursday, there was a group of other railfans at [...] Last month I had to make another trek to the Garden State for work, and unlike the past couple trips, I actually got to get out and shoot a bit. Not as much as usual, but I did manage to make it trackside a few days. Even made it over into Pennsylvania one evening for a little [...] Last month I had to make a trip down to New Jersey for work again. And as I mentioned in my last post about an evening in Rensselaer, I’ve finally gotten around to posting the shots. So instead of doing each day as a single post, I’m going to lump them all together into one [...] Oops, I missed a bunch of photos from January in my one big post from a little while back. On January 22, Bob LaMay and I made our annual trip up to the Mystic Valley Railway Society’s calendar judging luncheon. And as usual, we did a little railfanning along the way. On the way up [...] The week of November 15th I was in New Jersey again for work, and I managed to do a bit of shooting while there. Not as much as usual, but I did manage to kill a few pixels in the Garden State. The first night I also met up with another photographer in Hopewell, NJ [...] On Thursday the 28th I didn’t get a chance to head out in the daylight hours – we had a “happy hour” after work with our entire team, so I couldn’t miss that. But once that was wrapped up, I headed out for a while and managed to catch trains on both the Norfolk Southern [...] |
